Leidos, a trusted leader in power delivery solutions, seeks a Senior Substation Physical Engineer to drive innovative projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV to 500kV. Work on cutting-edge power systems integrating renewable energy, leveraging expertise in digital logic design, AC/DC circuits, and substation physical design. Thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid environment (4 days/week in office) with collaborative teams of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of substation physical projects with strict adherence to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
- Design and review drawings: one-line, three-line, plan-section, foundation, grounding.
- Perform QC checks, create BOMs, and conduct grounding/lightning protection and lighting studies.
- Attend client site visits and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-Level: BS in Electrical Engineering + 4+ years substation physical design experience.
- Lead-Level: BS + 8+ years experience.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and ability to work independently or in teams under pressure.
- High computer competency; willingness to travel.
