Join Leidos as a Senior Systems Administrator in Chantilly, VA
Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for a cutting-edge technical development program supporting Attribute Services in the IDAM/ICAM domain. In this pivotal role, you'll design, develop, implement, and maintain a Cloud-Native Service architecture on AWS, empowering software teams to harness cloud capabilities. Work directly with implementation teams, providing technical guidance and priorities for cloud deployments. Be prepared for an on-call rotation—typically one full week every two months—to ensure 24/7/365 mission-critical operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver technical leadership for innovative products/services addressing customer needs in AWS enterprise solutions.
- Develop novel approaches using experience-based tools for server support, security patching, and infrastructure.
- Provide engineering support to mission teams, maintaining a COTS LDAP service for hundreds of Sponsor systems.
- Ensure seamless 24/7 operations through proactive monitoring and rapid response.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- BS + 12+ years relevant experience (or equivalent).
- Expertise in Linux OS, strong Bash scripting, AWS Console/CLI, and IaC automation.
- Experience with Elastic tools, DevOps (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.), Agile environments, and security accreditation.
- Excellent communication, detail-oriented, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Associate certification, CKAD, or container certs.
- LDAP, Tomcat, CloudFormation, IAM/ICAM experience.
- 3+ years C2S, handling sensitive data, and complex Sponsor relationships.
