This flexible PRN position offers the chance to provide essential, preventative counseling without administrative hassles like insurance filing, progress notes, or treatment plans.
Key Role and Mission Ready Reserve Model
As an MRR MFLC, you'll be assignment-ready to step in for backfill needs, such as the current opportunity at Barksdale Air Force Base, LA, during an existing MFLC's leave. Focus purely on solution-focused counseling in diverse settings: embedded with units, supporting families, or in schools/child development centers. Enjoy intuitive reporting tools and full discretion over assignments.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face, non-medical counseling to individuals, couples, families, and children facing military-unique stressors.
- Leverage clinical expertise for referrals and handoffs to appropriate resources.
- Conduct presentations enhancing social-emotional skills in children.
- Foster connections through events on installations and in communities.
- Address challenges like deployments, relocations, and separations.
Work Environment
Expect a mix of 60% indoor (installations, schools, CDCs) and 40% outdoor duties, including uneven terrain, stairs, weather exposure, and floor-level interactions with children for extended periods. Travel may be required based on assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or higher in Behavioral Health Professions.
- Independent license: LCSW, MFT, LPC, or Psychologist.
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain NACI/CNACI clearance.
