Lead Site Activations for FAA NextGen at Leidos
Leidos seeks a dynamic Site Activation Lead (3rd Shift) to spearhead the Site Deployment Team for FAA NextGen Air Traffic Control programs, focusing on En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM). This high-impact role demands extensive travel (up to 80%, 1-4 week trips) and primarily 3rd shift work to ensure minimal operational disruption. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all activities, communications, and planning with FAA and Leidos teams.
- Deliver daily in-briefs/out-briefs, schedule/material/subcontractor status updates.
- Support Technical Operations in ERAM Technical Refresh deployment and certification.
- Maintain on-site schedules from General Acceptance through maintenance conclusion.
- Execute software installations, firmware upgrades, and equipment maintenance per technical manuals.
- Provide troubleshooting expertise for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and system monitoring.
- Manage site spares, technical docs, logs, and performance records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in relevant field + 4 years experience (or Master’s + 2 years; 8 years without degree).
- Waterfall/Agile execution experience; technical leadership across functions.
- Cost accounting, EVM, planning, estimating proficiency.
- 80% travel readiness; superior communication, team-building, integrity.
Preferred Expertise
- NAS/FAA site activation experience.
- Familiarity with NextGen programs (ERAM, ATOP, TBFM) and FAA facilities.
