Lead Site Activations for FAA NextGen at Leidos

Leidos seeks a dynamic Site Activation Lead to spearhead the Site Deployment Team for FAA NextGen Air Traffic Control programs, focusing on En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM). This high-impact role demands extensive travel (up to 80%, 1-4 week trips) and primarily 3rd shift work to ensure minimal operational disruption. Core Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate all activities, communications, and planning with FAA and Leidos teams, delivering daily in-briefs/out-briefs, schedule/material/subcontractor status.
  • Support Technical Operations (TO) in ERAM Technical Refresh deployments, certifications, periodic maintenance, and equipment relocations.
  • Execute software installations, firmware upgrades, on-site equipment maintenance per technical manuals, and LRU troubleshooting/replacements.
  • Maintain comprehensive on-site schedules in electronic databases from General Acceptance through contractor maintenance end.
  • Manage site spares administration, technical documentation, data files, logs, and performance records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in relevant field + 4 years experience, Master’s + 2 years, or 8 years equivalent.
  • Proven technical leadership across functional areas; Waterfall/Agile execution experience.
  • Expertise in cost accounting, earned value management, planning, and estimating.
  • Superior verbal/written communication, team building, customer focus, and integrity.
  • U.S. Citizenship; 80% travel readiness (3rd shift primary).

Preferred Expertise

  • Prior NAS/FAA site activation experience.
  • Deep knowledge of National Airspace, NextGen programs (ERAM, ATOP, TBFM), and FAA facilities.
