We're seeking a Site Service Shift Engineer to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced airport security systems at Manchester Airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex X-ray and CT-based security systems under limited supervision.
- Coordinate planning and delivery of preventative maintenance on security search equipment.
- Deliver formal/informal training to customer personnel on system operation and maintenance.
- Respond to customer issues, diagnose problems, and ensure resolution for optimal satisfaction.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM for administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Build strong relationships with airport clients to promote best-in-class service.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Ideal candidates hold a technical school diploma or military electronics training, with proven field service experience in aviation or security. Strong expertise in X-ray/CT tech, complex circuitry, Linux, high-voltage systems, and test equipment (DVM, oscilloscope) is essential. Excellent verbal/written communication, customer-facing skills, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, independent environments required. Must be UK/EU national, live within commuting distance of Manchester Airport; relocation unavailable.
