Join Leidos as SMIT Service Desk RDM Tier 2 Technician in Norfolk, VA

Leidos seeks an experienced SMIT Service Desk RDM Tier 2 Technician for our Norfolk, VA office. Provide Tier 1/2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues within the NMCI environment. Diagnose problems, guide users through solutions, and escalate as needed in a high-pressure, mission-critical setting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Use automated systems to analyze and resolve routine technical situations.
  • Review, prioritize, and efficiently manage incoming requests via HPSM ticketing.
  • Independently troubleshoot or collaborate on Tier 1/2 issues; escalate to Tier 3 when necessary.
  • Support users with training on PCs, networks, databases, NNPI, and SIPR systems.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking for complex systems while multitasking under pressure.
  • Deliver superior phone/email support with clear documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Interact across all organizational levels and mentor peers.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma + 1-3 years experience or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months NMCI Service Desk tenure; 3+ months Tier 1 NNPI/SIPR support.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE (8570); Flank Speed Tier 1.5 within 30 days.
  • US Citizen; shift flexibility; no PIP or attendance warnings.
  • PowerShell proficiency; advanced networking knowledge; HPSM expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in CS/Engineering/IT or 2+ years NMCI experience.
  • <4 attendance occurrences in 90 days; strong PAR/AHT metrics.
  • Proactive self-learner committed to career growth.
