Leidos is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support mission-critical projects and infrastructure initiatives in Chantilly, VA. What You’ll Do

  • Maintain, enhance, and modernize legacy applications to meet evolving mission needs
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular (TypeScript), and AWS
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate services across distributed systems
  • Develop custom ETL solutions and data pipelines, including Elasticsearch integrations
  • Write and maintain scripts to install, configure, and deploy applications on EC2 instances
  • Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule
  • Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and automated testing (e.g., Selenium)
  • Document system designs, workflows, and technical solutions clearly
  • Mentor junior developers and promote software engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot issues methodically in a team environment

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for degree)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular (TypeScript), and AWS/cloud development
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, custom ETL solutions, Git, Jenkins, Selenium, Rundeck
  • Proficiency in Linux command-line (Red Hat preferred)
  • Proven ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
