Leidos Defense Sector seeks a skilled Software Developer for the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Missile Defense mission areas in Colorado Springs, CO. Join a team delivering cutting-edge solutions in data integration, fusion, analytics, mining, predictive analytics, visualization, and decision support tools. This role involves trade studies, systems engineering, model-based engineering, portfolio analysis, software development, demonstration, testing, and deployment to Cheyenne Mountain. Report directly to the Program Manager in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement containerized environments for Java and C++ applications.
• Develop mission-critical software supporting missile defense systems.
• Communicate and document technical solutions for integrated engineering teams.
• Stay current with state-of-the-art programming techniques and technologies.
• Conduct software design and code reviews to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with System Engineering teams to synchronize, schedule, and demonstrate capabilities to customers.
• Manage regression coding and deployment delays with third-party contractors and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or related discipline with 4+ years relevant experience (substitutions possible).
• US Citizen with active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in C++ and Java programming.
• Experience in micro-services and containerized environments.
• Strong independent and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in associated field.
• Effective communication and multi-tasking experience.
• FORTRAN experience.
• Missile warning and missile defense experience.
• Understanding of missile warning message types.
