Join Leidos as a Software Developer & Research Associate at our Air Traffic Management (ATM) Research and Collaboration Centre in Singapore. Leidos, a global leader in ATM solutions, has delivered transformative systems like En Route Air Modernization and Time-Based Flow Management for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. Our SkyLine-X™ ATM system now powers international operations, and we're expanding in Asia-Pacific through cutting-edge R&D.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research optimization techniques and machine learning models for transportation systems, with ATM/aviation experience as a plus.
  • Collect, process, and analyze air traffic data.
  • Develop simulation platforms to validate algorithms.
  • Create visualizations from simulation data to support findings.
  • Design prototypes and intelligent tools.
  • Collaborate with partners to integrate AI into ATM decision support systems.
  • Contribute to meetings, reports, publications, proposals, and project management.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree/advanced degree in Optimization, AI, Software, Transportation, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Proven AI/ML predictive algorithms using historical data.
  • 2-3+ years experience.
  • Expertise in Python, Java, C/C++.
  • Strong English communication.
  • Proactive, independent team player.
  • Singaporean Citizenship.

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience (experience)
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C/C++ (experience)
  • Good English writing and communication skills (experience)
  • Proactive self-starter, independent team player (experience)
  • Singaporean Citizenship (experience)
  • Experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems or aviation (bonus) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on optimization techniques and machine learning models for transportation systems
  • Collect, process, and analyze air traffic data
  • Develop or use simulation platforms to validate algorithms and models
  • Analyze simulation data and create visualizations for research findings
  • Design and build prototypes or intelligent tools
  • Collaborate with industry and academic partners to integrate AI into ATM decision support systems
  • Participate in project meetings, prepare reports, and contribute to publications
  • Assist in drafting project proposals and technical documentation
  • Support Lead Research Manager on project management tasks
