Leidos seeks a talented Software Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team tackling complex missile defense systems. In this role, you'll create innovative solutions within a matrixed organization, supporting defense, space, cyber, and commercial initiatives. Develop software across the full lifecycle in a Linux environment using C++ or Python, within an Agile Scrum framework enhanced by DevSecOps practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop robust software for Linux environments.
- Implement features in Agile Scrum using Jira and Gitlab.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, and test engineers.
- Employ best practices like peer reviews and unit testing.
- Debug and troubleshoot in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) settings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (ABET-accredited) with 4+ years, or MS with 2+ years.
- Expertise in C/C++ or Python.
- Full software lifecycle experience.
- Agile, Jira/Gitlab, Linux, Qt IDE proficiency.
- HWIL familiarity and US Secret Clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Buildroot, VMWare, Wireshark, UDP/TCP networking.
- CI/CD pipeline support.
- DoD acquisition knowledge.
- Local to North Alabama or willing to relocate.
