Join Leidos' High Fidelity Simulation Team in Bethesda, MD

Leidos’ High Fidelity Simulation Business Area designs and delivers cutting-edge system-of-systems solutions powering world-class simulation, training, and analysis products for the U.S. Navy. Based at a U.S. Government facility in Bethesda, MD, you'll develop advanced sonar tactical decision aids (TDAs) that directly support the Fleet. Join a high-performing team making tangible impacts on national security.

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop and enhance Tactical Signature Guidance (TSG) systems, including sonar TDAs across multiple code baselines.
  • Troubleshoot complex software challenges and contribute innovative solutions.
  • Learn and apply new programming languages like Angular, Rust, and Scala with mentorship.
  • Support hardware system configuration and full integration occasionally.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in an agile team on large-scale programs.
  • Own software delivery in Java, React, C++, and other modern languages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and urgent requests.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Travel occasionally to Manassas, VA for integration.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional React experience (or equivalent frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, Svelte).
  • Familiarity with REST API calls from front-end code.
  • Working knowledge of Scala and/or Rust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance.
  • Willingness to earn IAT Level I certification (company-supported).
