Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clear understanding of overall system interdependencies and interfaces.
• Derive software requirements and use cases with full traceability to system requirements.
• Drive definition of desired software functionality to meet complex System of Systems needs.
• Leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to create deliverables and ensure traceability.
• Collaborate effectively with internal multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Assist in maintaining SysML software models using Cameo Systems Modeler.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university (less than 2 years experience).
• Demonstrated top-down systems engineering process knowledge for architecture and verification.
• Experience deriving software requirements, defining interfaces, and collaborating in Agile environments.
• Proficiency with tools like DOORS or Cameo Systems Modeler.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBSE experience, especially SysML in Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes.
• Software engineering lifecycle knowledge.
• Residency in North Alabama or willingness to relocate.
