Join Leidos as a Space Development Agency (SDA) Network Engineer II

Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a skilled Network Engineer II to support the SDA Operations Support Cell at Hill AFB, Ogden, UT. Partnering with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), you'll deliver critical GIG/DISN services in a 24x7 Global Operations Center (DGOC) environment, ensuring mission-critical connectivity for DoD and national security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and analyze customer circuits on optical multiplexers, TDM, routers, and switches.
  • Execute real-time circuit redesigns to restore connectivity during outages and maintenance.
  • Monitor alarms proactively and document incidents using management tools.
  • Maintain configuration databases and collaborate with NOCs and customers for optimal availability.
  • Leverage expertise in Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, DWDM, SONET/SDH, and satellite communications to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS + 2-4 years or Masters + <2 years relevant experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE).
  • Knowledge of Transport/IP topologies; 24x7 shift readiness.

Preferred Skills

  • Tech control, cyber transport, or circuit actions experience.
  • Telco NOC or plant operations.
  • MS Office proficiency; alarm surveillance, fault/LAN/performance management.

  • Collaborate with customers and NOCs to maximize network availability
  • Proactively monitor network alarms using platform-specific tools
  • Document incidents in management applications and maintain offline configuration database
  • Assess and recommend resolutions for network incidents involving routers, switches, crypto, Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching, SONET/SDH, satellite comms
