Primary Responsibilities

• Perform system and network security monitoring using SIEM tools like Splunk Enterprise Security.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, generate reports, and track IT team remediation.
• Investigate cyber incidents such as breaches and malware, executing forensic analysis.
• Research emerging threats, identify vulnerabilities, and audit configurations.
• Analyze root causes of incidents and recommend improvements.
• Monitor security bulletins for current threats and trends.

Basic Qualifications

• BS + 8-12 years experience (or equivalent).
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Expertise in Splunk/SIEM for log review and tuning.
• Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and incident response/forensics.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• SIEM familiarity.
• AWS cloud experience.
• HBSS, IDS/IPS, VPNs, DISA STIGs, RHEL.
• RMF and Agile development knowledge.
• Awareness of attack vectors like XSS and social engineering.
