Join Leidos as a Sr Electrical Design & Integration Engineer in Huntsville, AL

The Small Airborne Effectors Division at Leidos is at the forefront of designing, developing, testing, and producing small to medium airborne missiles, unmanned vehicles, and payload effectors for defense customers. We're seeking a Senior Electrical Design & Integration Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams on missile systems and unmanned aircraft programs at our Huntsville campus.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, fabricate, analyze, and integrate hardware, firmware, and software for mission-critical systems.
  • Lead prototyping, development, and testing of avionics, payloads, and integrated systems.
  • Conduct technical briefings, design reviews, and collaborate on requirements with customers and teams.
  • Support full product lifecycle from R&D to production, including lab testing, field operations, and manufacturing transition.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in electrical or computer engineering (ABET-accredited) with 8+ years experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
  • Proven expertise in electrical design, circuit simulation, FPGA/HDL, PCB layout, and troubleshooting.
  • SECRET clearance (active or obtainable) and 10% travel availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • RF/switching power supply design, sensor instrumentation, flight hardware experience.
  • GPS/INS, radio links, rapid prototyping, and technical leadership.
