Leidos' National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program seeks a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to modernize FAA Eastern Service Area telecommunications infrastructure. Support critical upgrades to Small Tower Voice Switches, Air to Ground Protocol Converters, NEXCOM Radios, and National Airspace Connectivity across College Park, GA; Washington, DC; Burlington, MA; and Nashua, NH. This design-centric role drives voice switch modernization for Air Traffic Control throughout the Eastern US.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate site surveys and draft preparation scopes, including CLIN identification and cost estimates.
- Conduct remote site surveys and oversee contractor site prep and installations.
- Generate risk management programs and coordinate with stakeholders for mitigations.
- Produce status reports, update Corporate Work Plan (CWP) data, and redline facility drawings.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. Electronics Engineering + 8 years experience.
- >50% travel willingness; Public Trust eligibility (US Citizen/Green Card 3+ years).
- MS Office proficiency; AutoCAD design experience; NEC/NFPA/OSHA knowledge.
Desired Skills
- NAS facilities expertise (ASR, ATCT, VOR, ARSR, RCAG, NASET, NASEB).
