The Defense Group at Leidos seeks a Senior Network Administrator for a DISA contract at Scott AFB, IL, supporting the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS). Work primarily on-site in Shiloh, IL, delivering critical network support for high-stakes defense operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Independently configure network assets including switches, load balancers, routers, and firewalls.
- Execute routine maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, and security measures on Cisco, Juniper, and Dell equipment.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration management, and change processes.
- Complete cybersecurity checklists and manage devices to enforce controls.
- Support global network architecture upgrades with technical insights, timelines, and resources.
- Implement ongoing security requirements across network devices.
- Collaborate with external partners for coordinated troubleshooting.
- Leverage Linux and Windows admin skills to manage network systems.
- Recommend architectural and topology improvements for efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in relevant technical field + 8+ years experience (or equivalent).
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 3+ years Linux/Windows experience.
- DoD 8750 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ce).
Preferred Qualifications
- Network Management/Element Management integration experience.
- Ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy.
- ITIL v3 Foundation.
- Virtual environments expertise.
