We're seeking a proven Sr. ServiceNow Developer to lead self-hosted/on-prem implementations, support ITSM/ITAM modules, and drive opportunity growth. This hands-on role in Lorton, VA, requires 100% on-site presence and availability for 24x7x365 mission-critical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development as Sr. Developer: write, test, debug code; optimize performance; mentor juniors.
- Provide technical oversight: set coding standards, conduct reviews, design aligned solutions.
- Configure Discovery, Service Mapping, ITSM, SAM, HAM for infrastructure and service visualization.
- Manage self-hosted instance: upgrades, patching, stability with cloud/infra teams.
- Collaborate on requirements, process maps, SOPs, and stakeholder support.
Required Expertise
Demonstrate deep ServiceNow knowledge in DoD contexts, including UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, APIs, and integrations. Self-starters with team leadership experience thrive here, adapting to priorities while informing leadership.

- Serve as hands-on Sr. Developer for ServiceNow development, integrations, testing, and debugging
- Provide technical direction, code reviews, and architectural guidance for the team
- Configure and maintain Discovery, Service Mapping, ITSM, and ITAM modules
- Manage self-hosted instance upgrades, patching, stability, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders, EHD, BAs, PMs for requirements, solutions, and documentation
- Support proposals, opportunity growth, and represent team in meetings
- Handle routine and critical issues, including off-hours support in 24x7 environment
