Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive innovation in maritime autonomy projects. Based in Arlington, VA, you'll immerse yourself in every phase of the software development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing, deployment, and automation—in a dynamic Agile SAFe environment. Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, and enhance C++ software for Linux-based systems, focusing on new features and optimizations.
• Implement and rigorously test software using protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS for seamless interface communications.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth software deployments, integrations, and ongoing support.
• Automate testing and deployment processes to accelerate delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed systems and architectures.

Basic Qualifications

• US Citizenship with eligibility for SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field + 8+ years relevant experience (or Master’s + 6+ years; equivalent experience considered).
• Proven expertise in C++ development.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting with Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Jenkins, and Linux environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, DDS, and integration with frameworks like RTI DDS.
• Advanced Linux OS proficiency and multi-language experience (Java, Python).
• Expertise in virtualization (VMware, KVM), Docker, and Kubernetes (RKE2) for containerization and automation.
