Leidos seeks a talented Sr. Software Engineer for our agile team building a large-scale enterprise system in Annapolis Junction, MD. Active TS/SCI Polygraph clearance is mandatory—no exceptions. Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate in daily stand-ups, sprint/PI planning on complex requirements analysis using design tools and data flow diagrams.
- Apply software principles for efficient, reliable, reusable code; manage processes to promote reuse and cut costs.
- Develop server-side logic and web UIs with Java, Python, C/C++, Angular, cryptographic frameworks.
- Engineer automation scripts for dev/test/prod deployment.
Basic Qualifications
- BS + 12-15 years or MS + 10-13 years experience (substitutable).
- Expertise in Java, Spring (Boot/Data), JEE (JPA/EJB/JTA/Servlet), Jackson, Jersey, Swing/JavaFX.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/Python/C/C++/Groovy/SQL; IDEs like Eclipse/VS Code; databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/SQL Server).
- Web UI dev (AngularJS/JSON/HTML/XML/XSLT), source control, crypto tech (symmetric/asymmetric/ASN.1), Windows/Linux, web services.
- Strong communicator, independent thinker in fast-paced teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- JEE (EJB/JPA/JTA/JAX-*/JAX-WS), SQL, app servers (Tomcat/WebLogic/JBoss), scripting.
- XML/SOAP/REST/JSON/YAML, containers (Docker/K8s), AngularJS/Bootstrap/jQuery.
- Testing: JUnit/Mockito/Jasmine/Cucumber/Selenium; builds: Maven/Jenkins/Nexus.
- Requirements mgmt, secure engineering, CI/CD.

- Perform full SDLC activities in agile team: user stories to deployment
- Implement robust testing with BDD, DevOps automation, and test tools
- Develop server-side business logic and client web UI (Java, Python, C/C++, Angular, etc.)
- Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, PI planning
- Analyze requirements, use design tools, apply software engineering principles for modifiable, efficient code
- Author, tune, document automation scripts for dev/test/prod environments
- Promote code reuse, collaboration, reduce maintenance costs
