Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Tier II Network Technician to support critical WAN and LAN networks in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. As a subject matter expert, you will deliver incident resolution, routing and firewall changes, and comprehensive support for data communications systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain LAN/WAN devices while resolving Tier II incidents efficiently.
- Draft and execute network change requests, supporting Tier III engineers on projects like site surveys and TEMs.
- Manage configurations: update topology drawings, ensure asset accuracy, and conduct inventories.
- Coordinate operations, repairs, and upgrades; troubleshoot Layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security).
- Perform COMSEC custodian duties, safeguarding cryptographic materials per U.S. Government policies.
- Support encryption devices like TACLANEs, integrating with cybersecurity protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- 16 years of relevant experience/education equivalent.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance.
- Expertise in routing, Layer 2/3 protocols, Cisco/Juniper/Brocade OS, TCP/IP, OSI models.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Visio, Confluence; up to 25% travel.

- Working knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow (experience)
Responsibilities
- Support installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices
- Respond to and resolve Tier II incident tickets
- Draft and implement standard network change requests
- Assist Tier III engineers with incident management, site surveys, TEMs, and equipment installs
- Perform configuration management: update topology drawings, asset records, inventory
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, upgrades
- Configure/troubleshoot Layer 2 switching and provide routing/firewall changes
- Execute COMSEC duties: handle, store, safeguard cryptographic materials per U.S. Gov policies
- Maintain COMSEC inventory, keying material, documentation
- Install, configure, troubleshoot encryption devices and support network security
