Join Leidos as F-15 Mission Planning Subject Matter Expert
Leidos seeks a dynamic Subject Matter Expert (SME) in F-15 Mission Planning to join our elite team at Eglin AFB, FL (Fort Walton Beach area). Collaborate with systems engineers, program managers, software developers, and security testers using Agile and SAFe methodologies. Lead solutions for complex engineering challenges while enjoying flexible hours and work-life balance. Primary site: Valparaiso, FL; alternatives in St. Louis, MO, or Hanscom AFB areas (MA/NH). Remote-friendly with required onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as SME driving Mission Planning software development and sustainment.
- Support Product Managers with backlogs, vision, and stakeholder alignment.
- Develop requirements packages, mission threads, and traceability matrices.
- Prioritize features, manage dependencies, and analyze metrics for improvements.
- Evaluate proposals, report progress, and participate in PI planning/Scrum events.
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizen, active DoD Secret (TS/SCI eligible).
- Bachelor’s +8yrs or Master’s +6yrs experience (or equivalent).
- Deep F-15 mission planning expertise at unit/wing/AOC levels.
- Excellent communication; MS Office proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- TS/SCI clearance.
- SAFe/Scrum at Scale, Jira/Confluence experience.
- Fighter ops, software testing, SDLC knowledge.

- Create technical requirements, SOWs, and documentation
- Coordinate stakeholder prioritization for sprints/releases
- Generate mission threads, use cases, and manage traceability
- Analyze development metrics and recommend actions
- Report technical status to stakeholders
- Evaluate technical proposals and data items
- Participate in PI planning and Scrum meetings
