Join Leidos as a Substation CAD Drafter in Houston, TX

Leidos is seeking talented Substation CAD Drafters (Levels 2, 3, and 4) for our dynamic Houston office on a hybrid schedule. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and drafters in a fast-paced environment, leveraging MicroStation and AutoCAD to produce high-quality deliverables for major utility clients. What You’ll Do

• Work closely with CAD Lead/Manager and substation design teams to complete drafting and detailing tasks.
• Create and modify Protection & Control, SCADA, Communications, and Physical Electrical drawings with precision.
• Deliver top-quality work products efficiently and on time in a collaborative setting.
• Adhere to CAD standards and procedures, contributing to project success.

Levels Overview

• Level 2 & 3: Handle routine to medium complexity drafting tasks with increasing independence.
• Level 4: Manage medium to high complexity assignments independently with advanced expertise.

What You Bring

• Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design (or equivalent).
• Level 2: 1-3+ years experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Level 3: 3-5+ years experience.
• Level 4: 5+ years and deep drafting knowledge.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Windows OS, Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ProjectWise, FTP, SharePoint.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Thrives in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments.

Bonus Skills

• 3D modeling in MicroStation/AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of VBA, AutoLISP, AutoCAD Electrical, or Bentley Substation.
