Design substation packages from 12kV to 500kV using industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical layouts, foundations, sections/elevations, conduits, grounding, and control building drawings.
  • Generate complete bills of materials and review vendor equipment drawings.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and drafters; perform calculations and apply standards.
  • Drive efficiency through process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma + 2+ years substation physical design with CAD (MicroStation/AutoCAD).
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD, Windows tools, team environments, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Engineering/Drafting Technology.
  • Experience with SDS 3D Inventor or advanced 3D applications.

  • Develop/modify electrical layout/plan drawings for substation equipment and structures (12kV-500kV)
  • Create foundation layout/plan, section/elevation, conduit, and grounding drawings
  • Develop control building layout/plan and section/elevation drawings
  • Prepare complete bills of materials for electrical equipment
  • Review vendor equipment drawings and collaborate with civil engineers
  • Assist in process/procedure development for team efficiency
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and apply client/national standards
