Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of substation physical projects with quality control.
  • Design one-line, three-line, plan-section, foundation, and grounding drawings.
  • Create and check bills of materials.
  • Conduct site visits and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards.

Qualifications & What Sets You Apart

Mid-Level: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering + 2+ years experience.
Senior: 4+ years.
Lead: 8+ years. Strong communication, analytical skills, and ability to thrive independently or in teams. Experience with grounding/lightning studies, WinIGS/CDEGS, and bus calculations preferred. PE/EIT a plus; US Citizen for DOE clearance.

  • Proficiency in CAD and high computer competency (experience)
  • Willingness to travel to project sites (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute substation physical projects at 12kV to 500kV
  • Perform quality control checks on substation physical designs
  • Design substation drawings including one-line, three-line, plan-section, foundation, and grounding
  • Create and verify bills of materials for substation physical projects
  • Attend site visits at customer locations
  • Collaborate with design teams, engineers, designers, and CAD technicians
  • Comply with project scope, schedule, budget, quality control, and safety practices
  • Interact with internal teams and clients to meet project needs
