Systems Engineer - Entry-Level Opportunity at Leidos

Key Responsibilities

  • Fault Diagnosis and Resolution: Swiftly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware/software issues to ensure operational readiness.
  • Inventory & Stores Management: Track equipment, manage logistics, and maintain accurate records.
  • Manufacturing Support: Implement build processes, configuration management, and quality control.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams for integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Process Documentation: Create comprehensive guides on processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct upgrades, performance monitoring, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety and organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven fault diagnosis skills for hardware/software.
  • Inventory and equipment tracking experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Independent and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication for documentation.

Desirable Experience & Preferred Skills

  • PRR configuration/maintenance, RF systems, ATAK integration.
  • IP configuration, network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • Diagnostic tools, technical documentation, adaptability to new tech.

Location & Clearance

Based in Herefordshire with occasional travel. Requires DV clearance. Learn more.

  • Collaborate with teams on system integration, testing, and deployment
  • Develop and maintain system process documentation and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance monitoring
  • Uphold safety guidelines and compliance standards
