Systems Engineer - Leidos Undersea Systems Division

As a Systems Engineer in Lynnwood, WA, serve as technical leader for system architecture, analysis, integration, and verification on underwater vehicles and unattended sensor systems. Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system-level architectures, interfaces, and artifacts.
  • Lead TEMPALT development, ATO packages, safety analyses with stakeholders.
  • Design test strategies, coordinate verification/validation across teams/venues.
  • Provide Technical Data Package oversight for integrity and compliance.
  • Conduct FMEA/FMECA reliability/safety analyses and mitigations.
  • Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo for traceability.
  • Integrate hardware, software, and controls into cohesive solutions.
  • Mentor mid/junior engineers with technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering (Systems/Mechanical/Electrical/Software/Ocean), CS, Physics, or Math.
  • 4+ years subsea/electro-mechanical systems experience.
  • 4+ years leading integrated teams.
  • DoD program execution exposure.
  • U.S. Citizenship; SECRET clearance eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years leading complex subsea design/integration.
  • UUVs, subsea systems, underwater payloads experience.
  • TEMPALT/ATO/safety analysis hands-on.
  • System testing coordination.
  • Technical Data Package oversight.
  • Strong FMEA/FMECA background.
  • Product manufacturing/transition to production.
  • ISO 9001:2015 familiarity.
  • Vehicle software/controls knowledge.
  • DoD contract/financial/subcontractor management.
