Join Leidos as a Systems Engineer in North Charleston, SC
Leidos seeks a Secret-cleared Systems Engineer to drive DCGS-N systems engineering for the Navy's premier ISR processing system. Contribute to intelligence software integration within PMW 120's Systems Engineering Division. Require administrator-level expertise in n-tier enterprise architectures (DB, app server, client) and ability to create detailed installation procedures or automation scripts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Integration, automation, configuration, and documentation of software/tools supporting Infrastructure and Platform Services.
- Software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and ensuring operational availability of production systems.
- Develop/maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/Ansible for provisioning/scaling across environments.
- Systems analysis to document functions and define interfaces for integration, testing, and QA.
- Manage/optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines: configuration, troubleshooting, workflow integration for efficient deployments.
Basic Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligible).
- 10 years (Bachelor’s) or 8 years (Master’s) in software research/design/testing/development.
- Degree in engineering, CS, IT, or related quantitative field.
- 3+ years DevSecOps (GitLab, Docker), configuration management on complex projects.
- Expertise in Linux infrastructure management.
- Full SDLC experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban), DevOps tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
- VMware experience/training; Linux/Windows/Server environments.
- Windows domains, Active Directory, group policies, hybrid cloud integration.
- Container orchestration: Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS/ECR.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ certification.
- 25% travel, including Navy ship underways.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dell Windows servers, NetApp storage.
- MS Windows 10/11, Server, VMware/Hyper-V.
- U.S. Navy COMPOSE, ISNS, CANES experience.
- Team collaboration, networking basics, communication skills.
- DCGS-N/C4ISR program experience.
- Programming: Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, bash.
- Active TS/SCI.
