Leidos is seeking a passionate Systems Engineer-Test Engineer to join our Hypersonics Division in Huntsville, AL. Tackle the world's toughest security challenges for 'can't fail' DoD missions. Deliver innovative hypersonic solutions through detailed test planning, execution, and technology maturation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive technology maturation plans and oversee execution for hypersonic systems.
- Lead subsystem and system-level test plans based on requirements and designs.
- Support requirements engineering, decomposition, verification, and integration.
- Document test requirements, performance metrics, and development plans.
- Enforce safety and engineering standards; refine test procedures for traceability and compliance.
- Execute functional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and verification tests.
- Troubleshoot and debug using modern tools in digital/analog environments.
- Proactively solve roadblocks, prioritize customer needs, and collaborate on schedules.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Systems/Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent (ABET-accredited).
- 4-8 years experience (5+ preferred); active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience in test engineering for complex systems; requirements management.
- Proficiency in test plans/procedures; MBSE tools (Cameo/DOORS preferred).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior DoD hypersonics, missile, or reentry vehicle experience.
- Systems engineering in fast-paced hypersonic programs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
