Core Responsibilities
- Translation: Deliver precise translations from Tajik (Cyrillic) and another foreign language to English/vice versa, capturing nuances, cultural references, and geopolitical contexts using domain-appropriate terminology.
- Interpretation: Execute consecutive interpretation (simultaneous occasionally) with fidelity to dialects and cultural subtleties.
- Transcription: Transcribe audio/internet content efficiently, producing detailed English reports from audio/visual sources while handling dialectical variations.
- Gisting/Summarization: Extract and prioritize critical information from voluminous data, leveraging references for superior output.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s + 4-8 years or Master’s + 2-6 years relevant experience (substitutable).
- Translation/interpretation degree preferred; HLT experience a plus.
- Primary-level proficiency in Tajik (Cyrillic) via Leidos testing.
- No clearance needed to apply; TS/SCI with poly sponsored post-testing.
Preferred Experience
- Deployed linguist in contingency ops.
- U.S. Intelligence Community/military/law enforcement familiarity.
- Multi-language proficiency and briefing skills.

- Provide consecutive (and occasional simultaneous) interpretation with dialect fluency
- Transcribe audio/visual content into high-quality English reports
- Perform gisting and summarization of key facts from large datasets
- Capture nuances, idioms, and regional references effectively
- Support 24/7 OCONUS travel requirements and complete sponsor training
