At Leidos, our Intelligence Sector delivers cutting-edge solutions for customers like USCYBERCOM J2. We're seeking a Technical Editor - Senior to ensure world-class quality in finished intelligence products. This contingent role (proposal phase) demands precision in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit for grammar, syntax, clarity, logic, and consistency across intelligence products.
- Align products with agency/IC standards, style guides, and subject-specific terminology.
- Refine visuals like tables, tone boxes, and graphics to match narrative content.
- Validate classification markings and handling per IC directives.
- Partner with authors to optimize narrative structure and revisions.
- Manage dissemination of J2 intelligence products externally.
- Gather data from SMEs, stakeholders, and open sources for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with ICDs including 206, 209, 501, and 710.
- Determine optimal presentation and supervise production workflows.
- Draft Operating Instructions to standardize editorial processes.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years relevant experience, with recent (last 2 years) activity.
- Master’s in related field, or Bachelor’s +5 senior years (total 17 years); experience may substitute.
- Active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph—no sponsorship available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in USCYBERCOM mission and structure.
- Joint/combatant command intelligence support experience.
