Technical Training Lead - Drive Mission-Critical Learning at Leidos

Join Leidos' Ratchet Mission Applications (RMA) team in Aurora, CO, as a Technical Training Lead. Partner with SMEs, Technical Trainers, and leaders to design, develop, and deliver high-impact training that builds technical excellence across Critical and Technical Operations.

Own the Full Learning Lifecycle

Scope needs, conduct task analyses, and apply adult learning principles using ADDIE, SAM, agile, and Design Thinking. Create blended solutions including classroom training, virtual ILT, eLearning, simulations, role plays, and job aids—leveraging existing materials or building new ones for new hires, veterans, and leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead needs analyses and performance assessments with business acumen.
  • Design programs aligned to SOPs and operational standards.
  • Develop scalable content: videos, simulations, guides, presentations.
  • Collaborate across teams for design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Measure impact via metrics; drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage content lifecycle and enterprise initiatives.
  • Build project plans and facilitate train-the-trainer sessions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Instructional Design/Educational Technology + 8+ years (or 12+ years experience).
  • Active TS/SCI or TS/SSBI with polygraph eligibility.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Lead development with limited resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in training/operations.
  • Project management success.
  • Virtual platforms/CBT tools proficiency.
  • Strong facilitation, LMS expertise, data-driven mindset.

  • Experience leading learning development with limited technical resources (experience)
  • Supervisory experience in training/operations (preferred) (experience)
  • Proficiency in LMS, virtual platforms, and data-driven evaluation (preferred) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead needs analyses, requirements gathering, and performance assessments using Design Thinking
  • Design blended learning programs aligned with SOPs and operational standards
  • Develop interactive content (videos, simulations, eLearning, job aids) using rapid prototyping
  • Collaborate with SMEs, leaders, and stakeholders across design, development, and evaluation
  • Measure effectiveness with metrics and implement continuous improvements
  • Manage content lifecycle, documentation, and version control
  • Lead enterprise-wide learning initiatives and project plans
  • Facilitate sessions, train-the-trainer programs, and project meetings
