This role combines technical writing expertise with provisioning logistics to create precise documentation for military applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop content across communication vehicles, proficient in XML tagging/editing, Army DTD, and MIL STD 40051.
- Distill complex technical data into clear procedures, collaborating with graphics design and provisioning teams.
- Analyze reports like LORA, FMECA, PPL, BOM, and translate findings into MAC and RPSTL documentation.
- Manage Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS), NSN assignment, and Bills of Material (BOM, PBOM, PABOM).
- Apply SMR codes, Top-Down Breakdown, and Technical Data Packages using GCSS Army, Vantage, AESIP/LMP.
- Lead Verification events and ensure MIL-standard compliance in syntax, style, and tone.
Basic Qualifications
Technical Writer: Active Secret clearance, XML proficiency, Army DTD/MIL STD 40051 experience, ability to simplify technical data, report analysis (LORA/FMECA/etc.), Verification event leadership.
Provisioning: Active DoD Secret clearance, FLIS proficiency, NSN/BOM management, SMR/Technical Data Packages knowledge, ERP systems (GCSS Army/Vantage/AESIP).
Education: Bachelor’s + 5 years experience (substitutable with 4 years direct or military MOS). Up to 25% travel (CONUS/OCONUS).
