Join Leidos as a Tier II Network Technician in Alice Springs
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos seeks a skilled Tier II Network Technician to support critical WAN and LAN networks in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. Provide expert incident resolution, routing/firewall changes, and serve as SME for WAN/LAN technologies across intra- and inter-net systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install/maintain LAN/WAN devices and resolve Tier II incidents.
- Draft/implement network changes and support Tier III projects (surveys, TEMs, installs).
- Manage configurations, topology drawings, assets, and inventory.
- Coordinate O&M, repairs, upgrades; troubleshoot Layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security).
- Perform COMSEC duties: handle cryptographic materials, maintain inventory, support TACLANEs per U.S. Gov policies.
- Integrate COMSEC with cybersecurity operations.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Poly; 8+ years exp. (Master's+2, Bachelor's+4, etc.); DoD 8570 IAT L2.
- Layer 1/2 exp. (CAT5, Fiber, SFP); TCP/IP/OSI knowledge; Cisco/Juniper/Brocade OS.
- Routing basics, L2 switching, L3 familiarity (OSPF/BGP/etc.); RMA processes.
- ServiceNow/Visio/Confluence; up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities
- Install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices
- Respond to and resolve Tier II incident tickets
- Draft and implement standard network change requests
- Support Tier III engineers with site surveys, TEMs, equipment installs
- Perform configuration management, topology updates, asset inventory
- Coordinate network O&M, repairs, upgrades
- Configure/troubleshoot Layer 2 switching
- Execute COMSEC custodian duties per U.S. Gov policies
- Maintain COMSEC inventory and support encryption devices
- Ensure COMSEC aligns with cybersecurity ops
