Warehouse Technician

Join Leidos in Chantilly, VA, as a Warehouse Technician supporting critical mission operations. Manage the full lifecycle of material movement from receipt to production in a high-stakes environment requiring TS/SCI w/Poly clearance. If you thrive on precision, coordination, and disrupting the status quo, this role demands your expertise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute material flow from warehouse receipt to production lines.
  • Analyze engineering specifications and production schedules to forecast raw material needs.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams for seamless material delivery.
  • Execute daily operations: receiving, storing, staging, shipping, and unloading materials.
  • Maintain precise inventory records, applying min/max levels in warehouse systems.
  • Perform cycle counts, annual inventories, and data updates in MRP/ERP platforms.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and handling equipment; load/unload trucks.
  • Drive compliance with safety standards, regulations, and Leidos protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in lean inventory and JIT methodologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/Poly clearance required.
  • High school diploma + 5+ years in materials management, warehouse ops, or production planning.
  • Expertise in inventory control, material handling, and production scheduling.
  • Proficiency interpreting specs; strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in supply chain/logistics.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP/MRP systems.
  • Forklift certification and high-throughput manufacturing background.
  • Knowledge of material selection, lean/JIT practices, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, & manage material flow from receipt to production
  • Develop raw material & scheduling requirements per engineering specs
  • Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, & production teams
  • Perform receiving, storage, staging, shipping, & unloading operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records & min/max levels
  • Update inventory data in warehouse management systems
  • Conduct cycle counts & annual physical inventories
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, & material handling equipment safely
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies & regulations
  • Identify & implement process improvements in material planning
