Role & Mission

Your mission as a Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer is to seek and develop new business sources internally and externally, guiding prospective homebuyers through the mortgage process with expertise and empathy. You'll meet with customers, brokers, New Home Consultants (NHCs), and referral sources at Lennar communities or convenient locations. By collecting financial data, analyzing needs, and recommending tailored loan products from our roadmap, you'll secure applications and drive loans to approval and closing. This role demands a proactive, customer-centric approach, leveraging your bilingual skills to serve English and Spanish-speaking clients seamlessly. Ultimately, you'll support Lennar's growth by exceeding sales goals and fostering long-term relationships that fuel our homebuilding success.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Drive company growth through proactive outside sales activities and innovative lead generation strategies across Tampa and surrounding areas.
  • Travel weekly to Lennar communities, realtors’ offices, builder events, and other locations to solicit new business from homebuilders, realtors, and prospects.
  • Host regular “First Time Homebuyer Seminars” in communities to generate leads, educate attendees, and strengthen ties with New Home Consultants and potential buyers.
  • Participate in builder functions, realtor status meetings, phase releases, phone banks, and special events to nurture relationships and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Meet prospective and current customers in communities or virtually to explain Lennar Mortgage offerings, collect loan applications, documents, and attend closings.
  • Daily review of leads, followed by prompt phone and email outreach to schedule in-person or virtual meetings, ensuring no opportunity slips away.
  • Originate and prepare loans per the Loan Officer agreement and Products & Policies manual, guaranteeing compliance from upfront submission through processing.
  • Provide expert advice on mortgage products, risks, benefits, and recommendations tailored to each customer's unique financial profile and goals.
  • Monitor interest rates, lock loans with borrowers at least 15 days pre-closing per Secondary Marketing Pricing and Rate Lock Policies.
  • Assist New Home Consultants with customer pre-qualifications, pipeline development, and real-time loan status updates to boost sales momentum.
  • Achieve or surpass closed loan capture rates, spot loan objectives, and division sales goals set by the Division Manager based on annual business plans.
  • Maintain meticulous reports and notes in the origination system on prospects, applications, statuses, customer conversations, underwriting, locks, and projected closings.
