Join us in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where we're expanding our footprint and shaping the future of homeownership in this dynamic market.

Executive Summary

As the Director of Sales for Lennar's Fayetteville Division, you will spearhead our sales operations, driving revenue growth and market dominance in one of the Southeast's most promising regions. This high-impact leadership role demands a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in new home sales and team management. Reporting directly to the Division President, you'll orchestrate sales strategies, mentor top-tier talent, and ensure every community exceeds performance targets. With Lennar's robust resources and national brand behind you, this position offers the platform to build your legacy while empowering Associates to achieve extraordinary results. If you're passionate about real estate, excel in high-stakes environments, and thrive on turning visions into sold homes, this is your opportunity to lead at the forefront of America's homebuilding revolution.

Role & Mission

The Director of Sales is the linchpin of our division's success, responsible for all aspects of sales staffing, training, administration, and goal achievement. Your mission is clear: establish ambitious sales objectives for divisions and communities, communicate them effectively, and rally your team to surpass them consistently. In Fayetteville's competitive market, you'll navigate economic shifts, buyer preferences, and competitive pressures to position Lennar as the builder of choice. This role embodies purpose—building not just homes, but futures, dreams, and lasting communities. You'll foster a high-performance culture where New Home Consultants are equipped, motivated, and accountable, ensuring every interaction reflects Lennar's commitment to zero-defect quality and customer delight.

Detailed Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact will be multifaceted, blending strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. Here's a comprehensive breakdown:

  • Team Communication & Development: Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly huddles with New Home Consultants, covering sales production demands, goal setting, product knowledge, and corporate updates. Disseminate critical sales, marketing, and product information to keep your team ahead of the curve.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare meticulous monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales reports. Continuously track sales activity, delivering data-backed recommendations to the Division President for informed decision-making.
  • Sales Operations & Events: Organize and lead sales meetings, phone banks, and special promotional events. Develop and execute Realtor programs to expand our network and drive referrals.
  • Field Leadership: Visit each community weekly to assess progress, coach on-site, and maintain visibility. Stay abreast of mortgage statuses for all sales in your area to preempt closing delays.
  • Policy Enforcement & Problem Resolution: Enforce company policies, upper management directives, and resolve issues swiftly. Handle customer concerns alongside New Home Consultants, facilitating solutions across departments like Closing, Field Associates, and Homeowners.
  • Staffing & Mentoring: Manage staffing at Welcome Home Centers, conduct performance appraisals, provide ongoing coaching, and address associate issues. Be on-call 7 days a week via cell or email to support your team.
  • Market Strategy Collaboration: Partner with marketing teams to refine strategies based on market analysis, customer needs, pricing, and competitive landscapes. Work closely to ensure open communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Additional Duties: Assist in special events, problem-solving sales/closing hurdles, and any other tasks to propel division success.

Technical & Behavioral Qualifications

To excel, you need a blend of proven expertise and soft skills:

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 5 years in new home sales or commission real estate sales; 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional verbal/written communication, organizational prowess, and interpersonal finesse. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, handle confrontations professionally, and remain objective with homeowners.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in sales tracking software, CRM systems, market analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting.
  • Behavioral Traits: Strategic thinker, motivational leader, resilient problem-solver, and customer-centric advocate. Must embrace a 24/7 on-call mentality and weekly travel across communities.

Candidates should demonstrate a history of driving sales growth in competitive markets, with quantifiable achievements like exceeding quotas or building high-performing teams.
