Lead Salesforce QA Engineer

About Lennar

Lennar is one of the nation's leading homebuilders, dedicated to making an impact and creating an extraordinary experience for their Homeowners, Communities, and Associates. By building quality homes and providing exceptional customer service, giving back to the communities in which we work and live, and fostering a culture of opportunity and growth for our Associates throughout their career, Lennar has earned its place as a Fortune 500® company and consistently ranks among the top homebuilders in the United States. With operations spanning across the country, Lennar is not just constructing homes—we're building futures, communities, and lasting legacies. Our commitment to innovation extends beyond physical structures into our digital ecosystem, where Salesforce powers our customer experiences, sales processes, and operational excellence.

Executive Summary

As the Lead Salesforce QA Engineer at Lennar, you will spearhead the quality engineering strategy for our enterprise-wide Salesforce implementations. This pivotal leadership role ensures that every Salesforce release—across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and beyond—meets the highest standards of functionality, performance, and reliability. Reporting to the Director of Salesforce Engineering, you will collaborate with product owners, scrum teams, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, zero-defect solutions that drive Lennar's digital transformation. Based in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, this full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 annually (based on market data for similar roles), comprehensive benefits, and unparalleled opportunities for career growth in a Fortune 500 environment.

Role & Mission

Your mission is clear: Drive end-to-end quality engineering excellence for Salesforce at scale. In this role, you will own the testing strategy, execution, and governance for complex Salesforce programs involving multiple clouds and third-party integrations. You'll champion best-in-class processes that align with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Lennar's commitment to building 'zero defect' solutions—mirroring our homebuilding philosophy. By fostering a culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement, you'll enable high-velocity releases that empower our sales teams, delight homeowners, and streamline operations across the enterprise.

Detailed Responsibilities

Quality Engineering Leadership

  • Lead the overall testing strategy, planning, and execution for Salesforce programs across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing) and complex integrations with ERP, middleware, and data platforms.
  • Define and enforce QE standards, best practices, and processes for Salesforce release cycles, including CI/CD integration, sandbox management strategies, and comprehensive regression planning.
  • Oversee all testing phases: unit testing support, functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT) facilitation, performance benchmarking (when applicable), and end-to-end automation.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Author comprehensive test plans, detailed test scenarios, reusable test scripts, and precise acceptance criteria aligned to user stories, epics, and business enhancements.
  • Manage the full defect lifecycle—from triage and prioritization through root-cause analysis, developer handoff, retesting, and closure—ensuring minimal escape to production.
  • Guarantee consistent regression test coverage across all releases, with full traceability to requirements, configurations, and custom code.
  • Drive rigorous validation of intricate integrations involving middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), core business systems, data warehouses, and third-party SaaS applications.

Automation Strategy & Framework

  • Architect and implement a robust automation strategy for Salesforce UI, API, and Lightning component testing using industry-leading tools like Provar, Selenium WebDriver, Copado Robotic Testing, Playwright, or Cucumber.
  • Build and maintain sustainable, low-maintenance automation suites that integrate seamlessly with sprint cadences and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Copado).
  • Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to embed automated smoke, regression, and API tests directly into build/deploy pipelines for real-time quality gates.

Release Management Collaboration

  • Partner with release managers to assess deployment readiness, orchestrate sandbox refreshes, and execute production validation protocols.
  • Lead post-deployment smoke testing and hyper-responsive root-cause analysis for high-velocity, bi-weekly release cadences.

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership

  • Engage product owners, business subject matter experts (SMEs), and Salesforce consultants to refine requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge-case scenarios.
  • Deliver executive-level status reports, quality dashboards (e.g., via Jira, TestRail), defect metrics, test coverage analytics, and risk assessments.
  • Align cross-functionally with developers, architects, and admins on business logic, data models, custom metadata, and Apex/Lightning changes.
  • Mentor and lead onshore/offshore QE teams (5-10 members), conducting automation code reviews, test design workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate team capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of quality ownership, innovation, and accountability across all agile pods.

Technical & Behavioral Qualifications

Technical Must-Haves

  • 8+ years of QA/Testing experience, with 5+ years focused on Salesforce (ADM-201 certified or higher; QA-specific certifications like Copado Certified Robotic Testing a plus).
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Clouds and testing tools: Provar, Selenium, Copado, Gearset, or equivalent; API testing with Postman/Newman; performance tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Proven track record building/maintaining automation frameworks in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security (OWD, sharing rules), Lightning Experience, flows, and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events).

Behavioral & Leadership Qualities

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mindset; thrives in fast-paced agile environments.
  • Exceptional communicator who bridges technical and business worlds.
  • Team builder who mentors juniors and influences without authority.
  • Analytical problem-solver passionate about quality craftsmanship.
