Role & Mission

The mission of the Project Manager - Land Development is to ensure seamless execution of land-focused community projects, driving them from concept to completion with zero defects, optimal cost management, and strict adherence to schedules. Primarily office-based with site visits, you'll act as the central coordinator, interfacing with Division Executives, outside consultants, trade partners, and regulatory agencies. Your work will emphasize horizontal development—site preparation, infrastructure, and foundational elements that set the stage for Lennar's signature homes. Detailed Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact will be profound and multifaceted:

• Maintain Community and Construction Schedules: Oversee all construction activities, quality control, and timelines to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
• Coordinate Design Input: Gather and integrate feedback from Division Executives on site planning and architectural design for optimal outcomes.
• Supervise Consultants: Manage relationships with external experts in architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and soils engineering to deliver high-quality plans.
• Weekly Reporting: Deliver comprehensive written updates on progress, trade partner meetings, agency interactions, problem resolution, and safety protocols.
• Budget Management: Create, track, and maintain detailed site budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility at every stage.
• Contract Negotiation: Secure favorable terms with consultants for essential services, balancing quality and cost.
• Feasibility Studies: Assist in preparing studies that inform project viability and strategic decisions.
• Regulatory Coordination: Handle DRE processing, CC&Rs, HOA setup, and serve as a liaison or board member as needed.
• Bond Management: Secure necessary bonds and oversee their exoneration to mitigate risks.
• Permitting Support: Coordinate model complexes, conditional use permits, and other approvals.
• Operations Support: Partner with the Operations Department throughout the construction lifecycle for smooth execution.

Technical & Behavioral Qualifications

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in land development, civil engineering, community development, redevelopment, economic development, or homebuilding.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel (advanced spreadsheets), PowerPoint.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license for site visits.
