A Day in the Life

As a High Reach Forklift Operator, your day will be dynamic and fast-paced. You will start by inspecting your forklift to ensure it is in good working condition, completing the daily maintenance check sheet. Your primary tasks will involve putting away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height, and picking palletized units out of rack locations for outbound shipment. You'll use an RF system to choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items, ensuring accuracy in inventory management. You will also be loading and unloading materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices. Throughout the day, you will monitor the battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and ensure the material handling equipment is properly stored at the charging station. In addition to forklift operation, you may be required to assist with other warehouse tasks, working with other machinery and material handling equipment as needed. Safety is paramount, so you will always adhere to company policies and procedures, reporting any issues to your supervisor promptly.
