Required Qualifications

  • Completion of trade school courses OR minimal experience in building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia) (experience)
  • Capable of completing routine preventative maintenance with instructions and supervision (experience)
  • Proficient with power and hand tools (experience)
  • Basic computer skills (experience)
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the facility (experience)
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail (experience)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with demonstrated organizational skills (experience)
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius while wearing company-provided protective gear (experience)
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./23 kgs. (experience)
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed (experience)
  • Comfortable with various noise levels (in some locations) (experience)
  • Knowledge and practice of Working at Height (in some locations) (experience)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical assets impacting the facility's operation.
  • Perform minor repairs on mechanical assets impacting the facility's operation.
  • Maintain the physical structure of the facility.
  • Maintain the exterior grounds of the facility.
  • Perform basic inspections of the refrigeration system under supervision.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on material handling equipment.
  • Adhere to manufacturer and company guidelines for equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure continual and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Operate power tools to cut or join metal parts.
  • Utilize cutting torch and other welding apparatus to cut or join metal parts.
  • Operate onsite motorized lift equipment.
  • Operate rental equipment as needed.
  • Inspect equipment.
  • Calibrate equipment.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Follow all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Other tasks as assigned
