Your typical day as a Traffic Clerk/Dispatcher will involve:

• Serving as the initial point of contact for delivery drivers, providing them with clear instructions and assistance.
• Receiving, counting, and logging cash received by carriers (if applicable), ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborating with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and on time.
• Verifying and counting products to confirm data accuracy within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Promptly notifying carriers and key team members of any pending arrivals, no-shows, or unscheduled deliveries.
• Engaging with drivers to reschedule appointments as needed, minimizing delays and disruptions.
• Entering pertinent data into the WMS scheduler, maintaining up-to-date information on all shipments.
• Compiling and maintaining comprehensive records of both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Planning and directing driver assignments, including checking them in, assigning appropriate doors, and checking them out upon load completion.
