The Linux Systems Engineer - Object Storage role (2PM - 11PM IST shift) in Bangalore, India, is a pivotal position within CrowdStrike's Technical Operations team. As an Engineer III, you'll build, monitor, and maintain complex multi-cloud distributed systems infrastructure, focusing on a rapidly growing third-party S3-compatible object store spanning over 2,000 Linux servers. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll tackle advanced engineering tasks head-on:

• Perform advanced Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal and virtual machines with increasing autonomy.
• Design and engineer large-scale cloud environments for clustered object storage, demonstrating proficiency in public cloud administration.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex server hardware, network, and storage issues using tools like tcpdump, iperf, iostat.
• Configure and optimize Linux kernel parameters, file systems, and storage subsystems for peak object storage performance.
• Develop scripts, automation frameworks, and monitoring solutions with Python/Go, Chef, or Ansible.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead initiatives, and ensure project timelines and SLAs are met.
• Proactively monitor systems, identify risks, and represent solutions to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, bring these proven capabilities:

• 7+ years of professional experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Expertise in Linux internals: virtual memory, process scheduling, storage I/O; performance analysis tools.
• Proficiency in storage technologies (block/object), Kubernetes-native S3-compatible solutions.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, security, optimization.
• Experience with observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and automation (Python/Go, Chef).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills (Jira, Gitlab).
