Job Description


Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Design the installation of aircraft Equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; Design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems; Design installation of aircraft Fluid and Electrical routing and associated bracketry
- Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations
- Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems and harness interfaces
- Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations
- Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.)

The successful candidate will have experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
Desired Skills:
- Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting
- Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience with metallic design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
