Job Description


Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs.
- Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
Desired Skills:
- More than 5 years experience in aerospace vehicle development
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience with Fibersim
- Experience using Teamcenter
- Experience with metallic and composite design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
