What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Staff Contracts Manager (Level 5) supporting Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works, you will serve as a trusted business advisor and key liaison between our customers and internal teams. In this influential role, you’ll lead complex contract negotiations, oversee proposal preparation, and manage post-award activities that drive program success. You’ll provide strategic guidance to contracts professionals, collaborate with senior leadership to shape business strategies, and ensure alignment across finance, program, and legal functions. This is a highly visible opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking aerospace programs that continue the Skunk Works legacy of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
1. Acting as the company voice with customer contracting officer while leading and supporting internal proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and post-award contract administration.
2. Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to smaller teams of Contracts professionals.
3. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful contract execution.
4. Building and maintaining relationships with external customers and stakeholders
5. Developing and executing business strategies in collaboration with F&BO and Program Senior Leadership
6. Advising Contracts organization leaders and Program leadership of contractual risks, rights, obligations, and opportunities.
7. Leading cross-functional LM teams to negotiate contracts.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or 6 years experience in the absence of a Bachelors Degree

• Experienced leading proposal preparation, submittals, and negotiations of proposals and contracts in support of USG and/or commercial efforts.

• Experience working in classified programs environments, specifically in SAP, SAR, or TS/SCI environments.

• Expert level understanding of different USG Contract Types (FFP, FPIF, CPAF, CPFF, T&M) and appropriate applications.

• Experience in the application of acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, and others) and USG Intellectual Property terms and data rights assertions.
Desired Skills:
• 10 or more years experience working as a Contracts professional.

• Secondary education such as a Master’s Degree or Juris Doctorate, as well as professional certifications such as CFCP, CPCM, PMP, or APICS certifications.

• Ability to work independently under very limited supervision demonstrating strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Considered a subject matter expert in one or more contracts related areas: data rights assertions and intellectual property, international contracting, other transactional authority (OTA) contracts.

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated leadership skills integrating staff to support key initiatives, improvement activities, and

• Experience creating visual dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent data management tools.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
