What You Will Be Doing
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Design Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas supporting the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG). A successful candidate will apply technical expertise to incorporate outstanding ECNs, check, and verify engineering drawings, which include Structures, Systems Installation, Harness, Wire Installation, AEI, Supplier SCD, Standards, etc. Our work involves almost everything from nose to tail and from wing tip to wing tip. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Evaluate and investigate pertinent design factors on F-16 retrofit and production engineering design, 3-D models and drawings including all related design data
- Identify design compatibility errors and verify all features are of one interpretation, complete and adequate for downstream users
- Ensure the engineering design, models/drawings and related data meet all contractual, company, and Program requirements
- Utilize working knowledge and application experience of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing based on ASME Y14.5 along with ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices
- Utilize working knowledge and application experience on a computer aided design system with 3D experience

A successful candidate must be able to work in a model centric environment and should be efficient with PC operations and MS Office Suite. The IFG Engineering Design Support is a fast paced team environment where critical and tight schedules are common and must be met with quality results. An experienced candidate that is team oriented with a positive attitude will help the team to meet customer requirements.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, equivalent experience/ combined education considered, with 5 years of professional experience

-Knowledge of ASME drawings and Y14.5 GD&T

-Familiar with CATIA V5

-Prior experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings

-Must be a US Citizen; this position is located at a facility that requires special access
Desired Skills:
-Prior experience with Engineering change processes and change orders
-Prior experience incorporating outstanding ECNs
-Familiar with retrofit/service action and multiple type/version effectivities
-Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills
-One-team mindset to achieve common goal

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
