Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Oldsmar, FL is seeking a full-time Environmental Safety & Health Engineer.

Your responsibilities include: Reviewing operations to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, or industrial hygiene standards and regulations. Providing critical support to production operations ensuring that safety and environmental standards are met, and working in a full autonomous role where ESH site leadership will be a necessity. Thorough problem solving and effective teaming skills are needed as well as the ability to adapt to emergency response situations.

Other responsibilities include: Maintaining compliance obligations as it pertains to Industrial Waste Water, Stormwater, Air Emissions Permitting, and RCRA Hazardous Waste Management.

This role also requires the need for incident investigations, radiation safety compliance, ergonomic program management, industrial hygiene assessments and monitoring, general safety compliance, and tracking metrics on key performing indicators.


Must be a US Citizen
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or a related field or education/experience equivalent.

5+ years minimum of professional experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience with interpreting OSHA regulations, ANSI and NFPA standards, EPA regulations, and other associated compliance programs.

US citizenship required.
Desired Skills:
Radiation Safety Officer or receptive to become one.

Experience/Knowledge with ESH Management Systems, including OSHA VPP.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or willingness to obtain a CSP.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
