Description:MFC LSE Summer Intern -Reliability and Testability Support

Position provides reliability analysis and reliability support of IRST Program. Candidate will support Reliability and Testability efforts .

Additionally the intern:
-may support development, coordination and execution of technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts.
-may analyze preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives.
-may develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.
-may recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
-may compile and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigate and/or analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
-Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
-Proficiency/experience using Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
-Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Reliability and / or System Safety experience
-System and / or software engineering experience
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools and application for engineering
-Military experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
